1980’s horror cult classic ‘The Fog’
On the evening of Friday 25th October the Luan Gallery will be screening the 1980’s horror cult classic ‘The Fog’ in the surroundings of Luan Gallery’s current exhibition
Tuberclerosies, a solo exhibition by Kevin Mooney.
The Fog is a 1980 American independent supernatural horror film directed by John Carpenter, starring Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins, Janet Leigh and Hal Holbrook. It tells the story of a strange, glowing fog that sweeps over a small coastal town in Northern California, bringing with it menacing spirits who are out for revenge upon the town’s inhabitants. The Fog's central themes are revenge and the resurfacing of "repressed past events" in small-town America, as it focuses on the supernatural vengeance inflicted on the residents of a community that has prospered from looted salvage.

Halloween Pumpkin Lantern Workshops
Luan Gallery is hosting Halloween Pumpkin Lantern workshops on Saturday 26th October. In this pumpkin carving workshop, participants will use artistic methods to design, craft, and carve their own Halloween pumpkin lanterns. Taking inspiration from the spooky themes and monstrous figures in Luan Gallery’s current exhibition,
Tuberclerosies by Kevin Mooney, participants will be led in drawing and creating unique designs using various techniques and materials. These designs will then be carved into a pumpkin, using child-friendly tools.

Halloween Mask Making Workshops
Luan Gallery hosts Halloween mask-making workshops for children with local artist Claire Guinan. Children will be encouraged to take inspiration from the spooky themes and monstrous figures in Kevin Mooney’s current exhibition, Tuberclerosies, design and create unique faces and characters using a variety of techniques and materials, and then wear their creations for Halloween!
