Collinstown (or Baile na gCailleach) is a beautiful rural village in north Westmeath, located 18 km north of Mullingar. It is ideally situated close to the tranquil shores of Lough Lene and has a rich history with plenty to offer a visitor.

The area also boasts of ancient burial-grounds associated with Saint Colman who was responsible of 7 early Christian cells, of which Lene and Carric, are nearby, and during penal times there are the Christian mass paths, and styles by which pilgrims travelled on foot through fields to Sunday mass. The Cut at Lough Lene is a must visit when in the area, bring sure to bring togs as the exceptionally clear waters are hard to resist and is one of the three designated bathing areas in Westmeath.
