Ballymore village is a beautiful rural village in the heart of Westmeath with ease of access to the two larger towns of Mullingar and Athlone. This charming village is full of summer colour thanks to the work of the local Tidy Towns group, and it's mature trees found throughout the village capture the rich colours of autumn.

On Ballymore's Fair Green stands a sculpture by local artist Richie Clarke honouring the generations of cattle drovers that brought livestock to Ballymore for sale at the Fair. People travelled to the village to sell cattle, sheep and pigs, and perhaps the occasional horse. The Drover now stands proudly on the Fair Green reminding people of bygone days.

SIP Cafe in the centre of the village offers quality locally-sourced coffee & fresh homemade food, in a friendly setting with both indoor and outdoor seating. This café is a favourite with both locals and visitors to the county.

A mere 8km away sits the Hill of Uisneach the Mythological Centre of Ireland, this ancient ceremonial site is one of the most sacred and historic sanctuaries in the world.
